I was listening to a podcast recently where the presenter said - Trust off the field, means they play better on the field…

Truth! 

I’ve always worked better with people who open up about their personal lives. A little trust into the inner circle of their world. 

There have been people I’d go to the end of the earth for - both personally and professionally because they are who they are in and out of the job. They keep their word regardless of where they are and who they are speaking to. 

Most great bosses are those you can trust. Trust to follow through. Trust to do what is best for you, your team and the company. Trust to stand up for you in front of others. Trust to hear you out and actually consider your ideas. 

When there is trust from top to bottom - everyone is more productive, everyone is willing to go the extra step to help out the company, help out the customer, help out themselves. 

If you ever wonder if your staff trusts you or their coworkers - take a look around and feel the vibe. 

And if the vibe is off, do something honest to change it !
